George Stroumboulopoulos & I now have one thing to talk about

Tonight I got on a shout out on the CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) channel. That would be the equivalent of ABC television station to the people in the States. A channel seen by millions of people each night. Of course, they over emphasized my contributions to the galaxy by saying that I’m “a cutting edge researcher in child education and teaching”, but that wasn’t really my concern.

My problem is….  how is someone who is capable of getting shout outs on national television currently unemployed?

I feel like Carrie that time she has to take the bus when she’s on the bus.

(And for the 99.895% of you who have no idea who George Stroumboulopoulos is- I pity you. The man is a genius. And spelling his last name correctly should be a question on Canadian citizenship tests- or made into a fun drinking game.)

First person to spell it correctly in comments wins the respect of a cutting edge researcher in child education and teaching unemployed teacher currently addicted to frosting and Rolling Stone magazine.

(*Ed note: I wasn’t mentioned on “The Hour”. Sweet goodness, how cool do you think I am? I was mentioned in passing while announcers were talking about my family. I suspect that they felt the urge to make something up because everyone else sounded so good. Either way, I only meant that George and I would both be able to talk about being on CBC together. Because I would grasp at that straw to strike a convo with that man. Swoon)

(Oh also? If you twitter like I do, you need to check this out).
