One of my favourite ladies wrote about what she never regrets doing. Given the last few days and the fact that my ‘regret’ pile has become exceedingly high, I thought this would be a great idea for me to do.
- Having a nap
- Buying the insurance
- Asking for help
- Wearing the big earrings
- Saying “I’m sorry”
- Booking the trip
- Stating my political views
- Not waiting for the kiss
- Adding more blueberries to the pancake mix
- Bringing my camera
- Listening to “Faded” by Soul Decision
- Ordering water at 2 am
- Packing extra socks
What do you NEVER regret?

Definitely saying, “I love you,” when I feel it.
being on the right side of the fight, even when i lose. politically speaking. and in that case, should i say, “being on the *left* side of the fight? anyhoodle … you get the drift. especially with the health care right now. which is driving me insane. i need health care reform because fighting for it is causing me severe mental and physical health issues.
also, ice cream for dinner on days like today. followed by mac and cheese, from a box which i lie and say i never eat, but i do.
I never regret pushing the limits when I tell someone how I feel about them, even if it makes me vulnerable.
I also never regret hot chocolate and peanut buttered bagels for breakfast.
So, so agree on the water thing. And on not waiting for the kiss. Or the ‘I love you’. Or the ‘I’m sorry’.
Thanks for the shout-out, lady. xo
awesome list.
and good christ i love soul decision.
I never regret adding chocolate chips to anything, turning down the second drink, turning up the music, handwriting thank-you cards.
This is a good idea. I never regret spending hours lazying around having dvd marathon, or splurge more for body pampering at a spa after a hard week. These are ways to keep us sane, so worth it :)
Faded!! I love it!
Staying up to finish the book.
Taking too many pictures.
Writing.
Oh, I never regret listening to “Faded.” Ever (It’s so good to know someone else is still listening to this one). Or ordering things with extra cheese. Or taking a long bath when I should be cleaning the kitchen. Or speaking my mind. Or buying cute shoes. Or paying for sushi. Or making an ass of myself at karaoke (by singing Buttons, by the Pussy Cat Dolls, most recently).
I’m going to stop now, or I could be here all night.
Wearing big earrings – A FUCKING MEN. I get all sorts of compliments at work for my big earrings.
I never regret wearing comfortable shoes.
Aahh, I love Faded. Wait, did I just admit that?
Definitely listened to Faded on repeat this weekend while on vacation. There may have been dancing involved. Definitely not good dancing. As the song says, I was kinda faded, but I felt alright!
Naps = :)
Naps are ALWAYS a good decision!!
Spending all day watching the West Wing…..
I never consider that a waste
I love my ghetto-fab hoops that graze my shoulders. I won’t apologize for them ever!
Booking the trip. No matter how much tuna and bowls of oatmeal I have to eat, I never regret booking the trip.
ordering water at 2 am is one of my favorite things.
and not waiting for the kiss? going for it is so worth it :)
How could you ever regret SoulDecision? ;)
I never regret standing up for what I think is right, even if it’s unfavourable.
Going to the gym!
Beer. (Okay, maybe once or twice.)
Watching GLADIATOR again.
“Can we do what we did last night again? Maybe you and I’d be better friends…Don’t you think it’s time we went a bit further, oh yeah?”
Lord I love that song so damn much.
I’m all for supplementing pancake mix. The more blueberries the better!
Telling my parents I love them, even when I don’t hear it back.
Waking up in the middle of the night to have a dance party in the kitchen.
Taking pictures.
Visiting my grandparents, especially on the days when I’d rather be taking a nap on the couch.
I love this idea (and am obsessed with list-making)…
I don’t regret falling in love, even though the falling out is such a far drop.
Letting go of my pride.
Extra frosting.
Admitting I was wrong.
Doing what is right regardless of what I know the response will be.
Making time for a workout.
I do not regret letting out a squeal when I saw Soul Decision on your list…
nor do I reget:
-anonymously reading stranger’s blogs
-sending a “Dear John” letter to a toxic friend
-not speaking to my Grandfather at my wedding
-my English degree
-cheese
-watching “Mother, May I Sleep with Danger?” every time it’s on Lifetime
“Bringing my camera” = so, so true. :)
I don’t regret that I just text the guy i’ve been kind of seeing asking if i WILL be seeing him again after his play has finished. because even if i don’t get a response, i kinda need to know right now where i stand and if its worth me waiting around yet another week, or whether i should just cut my losses now and walk away.
‘faded’ is probably one of the best songs ever. seriously ever.
i don’t regret loving musicals, dawson’s creek or keanu reeves. not one bit.
I LOVE this idea… thanks for the inspiration for a future post.
I never regret bringing the camera, either. :)
And… I don’t know what’s going on in your life (what the talk of regrets and all, and I’m not going to pry because really? You probably have no idea who I am, ha!) but keep your chin up.
Love the idea! I will never regret…
* Calling in sick when I’m actually feeling just fine
* Sore feet the next day after dancing the night before in fabulous shoes
* Ever, ever, ever saying yes to ice cream
love love LOVE ‘Faded’ by Soul Decision. So glad someone else understands…
I never regret putting on bug repellent…cause when you don’t…the consequences could be disastrous.
Not into blueberry pancakes so much, but I NEVER regret putting extra chocolate chips in the cookie dough. Also:
Calling in sick when I truly am sick.
Eating a healthy breakfast.
Going to listen to live music.
Visiting my grandparents.
Anyone who loves Soul Decision is ok by me.
I never regret trying something new, hard as it might be to talk myself into it in the first place.
I never regret spending money on experiences rather than stuff.
Washing my hair. Going to the beach. Buying an extra block of chocolate. Doing my class planning early. Stopping to fill up with petrol, even though I hate doing it. Wearing sunscreen. And yes, making the first move!
listening to AND loving “Faded” AND “Gravity” by souldecision. :)
awh crap. that souldecision thing was sposda be me.
Always having a camera in my purse and of course, also booking the flight.
Sleeping in an extra half hour!
Going for a ride, drive, walk, whatever as long I go out.
Fantastic list!!! I LOVE the idea of listing out the things you never regret doing. :-)
ooh! i did a post like this a whiiiile back. as in LIBBY days, my friend. one thing I don’t regret:
-going on weight watchers. keeping the weight off for over 2 years.
Extra cheese. Yes. I NEVER regret that. In fact, I regret it when I forget to order extra cheese! :)
Great list!
I don’t regret spontaneously booking trips abroad even if I did puke my guts out while climbing Kilimanjaro.
1. I never regret my past…it made me who I am today. Even the mistakes.
2. I never regret reading a good book, or a cheesy book, until late into the night, even though I have to get up early to go to work.
3. I never regret spending money on travel. It is always well-spent.
I never regret eating a bag of Oreos. Ever. Knock on wood that I don’t gain 100lbs for doing so, or that might in fact change to a regret.
