I recently had a rattlesnake of a woman kind and helpful lady tell me that ‘women wear lipstick, girls wear lip gloss‘ WHILE I WAS PUTTING ON LIP GLOSS. Needless to say, her views on FLAVORED lip gloss had her making the face people usually reserve for when they find an old dirty diaper in the backseat of their car. Thankfully, I’m so in love with this: I didn’t care what she said. I almost have an orgasm when I put it on my lips. Well, I’m sure a dude would love it if that happened but I’m just …READ MORE
The last of the best/worst of 2008. The genius of this list is that it’s not really date specific, these Boo Boo’s will still drive me (and I suspect Nilsa, the lovely author of this list) bonkers in 2009. Enjoy and have a good weekend!
TOP 5 WORST BLOGGING BOO BOOS by Nilsa
1) Blogs Without Feeds or Partial Feeds. Seriously, this is still allowed? Because I do all my blog reading from my reader. So, if I can’t follow you there, in all likelihood, I’m not following you at all! Even throwing me a bone of a few lines …READ MORE
You know when bloggers write out a list of things they are currently disliking or things that are pissing them off? I love those posts. If I see a blogger has written one, I save it till last in my google reader. I like that they give everyone an opportunity to see a blogger in a different light. I like that they are usually completely unapologetic. I love that they are always so honest.
I’ve never done one before, mostly because my list of what I’m usually hating goes something … 1.Sarah Palin when she’s being smug 2. cream cheese …READ MORE
I’m still reviewing what I’ve done to deserve this.
Is it because I spend my money at Starbucks instead of sponsoring a child? Is it payback for that time I faked sleep to avoid talking to the boy in my bed? Was it all the times I screened my calls, gossiped or is this about that time I lied about what happened on my 18th birthday? Is it because I still listen to Soul Decision and play their music every chance I get?
Deserve what, you ask…
I just found out that my first substitute teaching day will be this …READ MORE
Hi. Remember this? Let’s begin!
Greta-a-Sketch asked “What was your first kiss like?”
My first kiss was… wet. And I think I saw stars. Not because it was overly romantic, but because I had no idea that you were supposed to breathe while kissing. I sort of.. held my breath. And then when my ears started to pound I let out this big GASP! And the boy looked all pleased with himself like his kissing technique (of darting his tongue all over my mouth) had left me breathless. Men.
She also asked, in addition to phalanges, what other words do …READ MORE
Tuesday morning I found myself surrounded by young politicos, as eager as I was to discuss all the political happenings in a country none of us live in. I was subbing and had been invited to visit an old teacher during my prep to listen to his class talk about Super Tuesday. (I suspect he could smell the Wolf Blitzer on me and deduced the dark circles under my eyes were related to late nights watching my love on the telly). The discussion was lively and I have to admit, I learned just as much in that 42 minutes than …READ MORE
