The “Secret” Project

Yesterday I got the most fascinating email. It was from a girl, who had a secret and just wanted to tell someone. So, she emailed and told me. She didn’t write a long post in email, nor did she explain her secret- she just said it. And then said that she was a regular reader (but never commented) and felt like she could tell me. So she did.

That’s one of the things that fascinates (yes, ‘fascinates‘ is the word of the day) me about blogging. The ease at which people are willing to share things they normally wouldn’t share. …READ MORE

2008: The Year of Mandy Moore, Michael Franti & a woman named Mallard

If there’s one thing I love about the ending of a year, it’s the excuse to buy 3 new dresses for new years year end questionnaires that everyone does. This year, I decided to join the masses and fill out the one I found here. Not only did it let me reflect on the year, it also let me practice my page linking abilities. AND THAT’S ALWAYS FUN.

1. What did you do in 2008 that you’d never done before? Lost sleep over the New Hampshire primary. Taught my own class. Recited Shakespeare to the masses. Hid in a classroom …READ MORE

Ointment and Pure Seduction

Hi. Remember this? Let’s begin!

Greta-a-Sketch asked “What was your first kiss like?”

My first kiss was… wet. And I think I saw stars. Not because it was overly romantic, but because I had no idea that you were supposed to breathe while kissing. I sort of.. held my breath. And then when my ears started to pound I let out this big GASP! And the boy looked all pleased with himself like his kissing technique (of darting his tongue all over my mouth) had left me breathless. Men.

She also asked, in addition to phalanges, what other words do …READ MORE

Just say yes to James Taylor

Remember when I asked for questions to answer? I’m answering. Slowly. Because I’m lazy I don’t want to cause the internet to explode my answering them all at once. I get great joy of going through and reading them (finding out later that they’ve entered my subconscious and have given me ideas of posts that I thought were originally my own- Maggie, I’m thinking of you and your question about what I would like to ‘unknow‘, which I thought was my own brilliant idea. How wrong I was.).

Today’s question is from AP. I really enjoyed this question because it’s …READ MORE
